Here’s how we bring your programme to life, step by step.
Step 1. Inspiration & Consultation: In this initial consultation, we’ll align your educational goals with the perfect destinations and projects, ensuring your students gain real-world skills and have transformative experiences.
Step 2. Custom Programme Design: Our experts (and this is their favourite part of the job!) can run through in detail our itineraries and help tweak them or work with you to craft a custom itinerary that integrates your educational goals with impactful activities.
Step 3. Approval & Planning: With a detailed programme to hand, you’ll present a comprehensive plan to your school’s leadership. We provide you with all the documentation needed — safety protocols, cost breakdowns, and educational outcomes — ensuring a smooth approval process.
Step 4. Student & Parent Engagement: Now it’s time to bring everyone on board. We help you create excitement among students and confidence among parents through custom engagement sessions. Whether it’s a dynamic assembly, an informative parent's evening, or flexible drop-in sessions, we can help ensure that all stakeholders understand the programme's value and feel prepared for what’s ahead.
Step 5. Fundraising: Once your programme has been accepted by your Senior Leadership Team, you can think about raising money to help with costs. This may include gaining sponsors, fundraising via social media, or even sponsored events! You may also be eligible for a grant. Speak to your Projects Abroad contact to discuss what grants you may be eligible for.
Step 6. Sign-up: At this point, we put pen to paper through the Projects Abroad Trip Agreement Form and collate the information from the students and staff as part of the application process.
Step 7. Pre-departure: Preparation is key to a successful journey. We guide you through every detail, from health and safety briefings to cultural sensitivity training. Each group will have a pre-departure session before travel. The outcome? A group of students who are well-prepared, confident, and keen to make the most of their upcoming experience.
Step 8. On-the-ground Adventure: The adventure begins! Your students will engage in activities that challenge them to think critically, solve problems, and collaborate with peers and locals. With 24/7 support from our experienced team, they’ll navigate new environments safely, gaining insights and skills that are directly transferable to their future academic and professional endeavours.
Step 9. Reflect & Share: Reflection is where learning solidifies. Throughout the experience, we facilitate structured journalling that encourages students to articulate what they’ve learned, how they’ve grown, and how these new insights can be applied to their lives back home.
