Nîmes region
Nestled in the heart of southern France, our Conservation Programme lies just outside the medieval town of Sommières. This picturesque location, 45 minutes from Montpellier, serves as your gateway to some of France's most biodiverse ecosystems.
Our purpose-built camp sits at the intersection of several distinct ecosystems, making it an ideal base for varied research projects. From here, you'll conduct wildlife surveys, set camera traps, and develop essential survival skills. The region offers diverse ecosystems for study, from Mediterranean scrubland to riverine habitats.
The nearby town of Sommières, with its 11th-century bridge and winding medieval streets, provides a fascinating glimpse into traditional French life. This location offers the perfect balance between serious scientific work and cultural immersion, allowing you to experience both the exciting natural and cultural heritage of southern France.
Paris
For those joining our Conservation & Culture program, your journey begins and ends in the City of Light, where you'll experience France's cultural heritage.
